 ST. PETERSBURG — Located on numerous islands, the city is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world.  HERMITAGE MUSEUM — The Hermitage ranks among the world’s major museums. Its collection consists of nearly 3 million art objects (West European art, the Antique world, Primitive culture, Oriental culture and art, the history of Russian Culture and numismatics). Exhibits are displayed in the Winter Palace, as well as the Small, Old and New Hermitages.


 TOWN OF PUSHKIN (Today is known as the Tsarskoe Selo) — A tour to the marvelous palace and park complex, located 25 km to the south of St. Petersburg. Pushkin is famous for its impressive baroque Catherine Palace where Catherine the Great lived and died, and also for the Lyceum which was attended by the Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

  YUSUPOV PALACE — One of the most interesting sights of St. Petersburg which represents a rare combination of an architectural monument and "a temple of art". Since 1830 unabashedly rich and powerful Yusupov family owned the palace, the apartments of the last owners are opened to the public. The palace is also known for Grigory Rasputin’s assassination.

 PETERHOFF — Is a jewel of the Russian art, a town of parks, palaces and fountains. The Upper and the Lower Parks are the masterpieces of art of gardening numbering over 170 fountains, 5 monumental cascades. The Grand Cascade, which goes downhill from the palace towards the Baltic Sea, is one of the largest fountain ensembles in the world.

 KUNSTKAMERA (The Chamber of Curiosities) — The first museum in Russia, this is one of the oldest and largest Anthropology and Ethnography museums in the world. It is also called Peter the Great's museum as it is based on the Tsar's personal collection. The museum has exhibitions of items showing the life and culture of people of various ages and from different countries.

 THE RUSSIAN MUSEUM — Is the first state museum of the Russian fine art in the country. It was established in 1895 in St Petersburg under the decree of the Emperor Nicholas II. Grand opened for visitors on March 19 (March 7, the Old Style) 1898. The Russian Museum holds many exhibitions both in Russia and abroad. The Museum holds more than 50 temporary exhibitions and organizes more than 10 in other cities and abroad annually.

 THE CENTRAL NAVAL MUSEUM — Is one of the largest naval museums in the world. Its origins go back to the Ship-Model Chamber that was founded by Peter I as an Admiralty repository for models and working drawings of naval vessels. In 1805 the Chamber was reorganized into the Naval Museum. Since 1939 it has been housed in the building of the former Stock Exchange, which was constructed in 1805-10 by the architect Jean-Francois Thomas de Thomon. The building resembles a classical temple. The attics of its facades are adorned with the sculptural groups Neptune and Two Rivers and Navigation with Mercury and Two Rivers carved by the master stonemason Samson Sukhanov.

 PUSHKIN AND PAVLOVSK — own of Pushkin located 25 km to the south of St. Petersburg. Pushkin (former Tsarskoye Selo) is famous for its impressive baroque Catherine Palace where Catherine the Great lived and died, and also for the Lyceum which was attended by the Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

 PAVLOVSK — Is a town situated in Russia, 30 kilometres from and under the jurisdiction of Saint Petersburg, just to the south of Tsarskoye Selo. Population The town developed around the Pavlovsk Palace, one of the most splendid residences of the Russian imperial family. It is part of the World Heritage Site Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments.
