 DAY 1 - ARRIVE TO TASHKENT'S AIRPORT

TASHKENT - The capital of Uzbekistan, one of the most ancient cities in the world and the largest in Central Asia. The city dates back to the 1st century. The word “Tashkent” means “the Stone Settlement.”

DURING THE CITY TOUR - You will visit major attractions - Amir Taimur Square, Madrassah Imam Ismail Al-Bukhari, Kukeldash Madrassah, Iski Juva bazaar, etc. In the centuries past, Tashkent, the present capital of Uzbekistan, was called Chach, Shash, Binkent at various times. Each of the names is a part of the city's history. Tashkent has always been an important international transport junction. Unfortunately, only a small part of its architectural past is preserved, due to demolition of historical and religious buildings after the revolution of 1917 and a massive earthquake in 1966. Some old buildings lie in the old town to the west of the downtown.


 DAY 2 - ARRIVAL TO URGENCH, TRANSFER TO KHIVA

KHIVA - The best preserved stop on the ancient Silk Road, unique in its beauty. Khiva was the capital of the Khivan Khanate from 1592 until the Bolshevik take-over in 1920. The city was also notable as Cenral Asia's biggest slave trade center. A 8-meter high perimeter fortress walls contain museums, mosques and minarets that comprize the old town.

CITY TOUR - Around Ichan-Kala architectural complex (12-19th c.), the Residence of the last Khan including Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Mohammed Amin Khan madrassah, Kunya-Ark Castle (16-17th c.), Kalta Minor tower, Tash-Hovli Palace (19th c.), Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum(14-18th cc.), Juma Mosque.


 DAY 3 - ARRIVAL TO BUKHARA

ROAD TRIP TO - Bukhara via desert Kyzyl-Kum along Caravan road.

 DAY 4 - CITY TOUR IN BUKHARA

You will visit - Citadel Ark (4th c. BC), Samanides Mausoleum (9-10th c.), Chashma Ayub(14th c.), Bolo-Hauz Mosque (beginning of the 20th c.), Coumpol bazaar, Medreseh Nodir-Divan-Beghi, complex Lyabi-Khauz (14-17th c.), Minaret Kalon (12th c.), Kalyan Mosque (12th c.), Medreseh Miri Arab (16th c.).

 DAY 5 - OUTSKIRTS OF BUKHARA

You will visit - Bahouddin Nakshbandi mausoleum (16-19th c.), to the sepulchers of his mother and his preceptor (14th c.), mausoleum Chor-Bakr (10th c.), visit to summer residence Sitorai-Mokhi-Hossa (19th c.).


 DAY 6 - DRIVE TO SHAKHRISABZ

Most of the Shakhrisabz’s current attractions were built here by Timur (including a tomb intended for himself) or his grandson Ulughbek. Remains of Ak Saray palace and old city walls can be found in just north of the city center. After the independence, the statue of the Amir Temur was built in front of the Ak Saray, reminding by its size the greatness of Amir Timur and his empire.

CITY TOUR - Ruins of Ak-Saray Palace (14-15th c.), Dor-ut Saodat complex (Khazratiy Imam Mosque (14th c.), Jahongir mausoleum (14th c.), Dor-ut Tillavat complex: Gumbazi-Seiidan, Kok Gumbaz Mosque (15th c.).


 DAY 7 - CITY TOUR IN SAMARKAND

One of the world's oldest cities, located in the very center of Uzbekistan in the valley of the Zeravshan River. The city is of the same age as Rome – it has more than 2500-years history. People called it “the Gem of the East” and “the City of Legends” because of its beauty and majesty.

DURING THIS TOUR - You will vist Registan square - Medreseh Ulughbek (15th c.), Medreseh Shir-Dor (17th c.), Medreseh Tilla-Kori (17th c.), Ulughbek Observatory (15th c.). Excavations and museum of the ancient city of Afrosiab, Architectural complex Shakhi-Zindeh (11-15th c.), Mausoleum Guri Emir - Tamerlane's Tomb (14-15th c.), Bibi-Khonum Mosque.


 DAY 8 - VISIT IMAM AL BUKHARIY MEMORIAL COMPLEX

The necropolis of the outstanding Sunni theologian Imam Al Bukhari (died 870) is located near Samarkand. Imam Al Bukhari had a phenomenal memory and memorized a hundred thousand hadiths - true accounts of things Prophet Muhammad once said or did. His work resulted in a summation of hadiths - the "Al-Djami as-Sahih", which had been canonized by the 10th century as a major hadith anthology in the Sunni tradition.




 DAY 9 - CITY TOUR AROUND TASHKENT

You will visit - Independence Square, Navoi Theater square, Barak-Khan Madrasah (16th c.), The Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum (15th c.), Kukeldash Madrasah (16th c.), the Djuma mosque (9th c.), Museum of Applied Arts, Amir Temur square, Tashkent National Arts Centre, local "Broadway" - a walking street with artists, cheap souvenirs and eating places, city fountains and modern monuments.


 DAY 10 - TRANSFER TO THE TASHKENT'S AIRPORT
