KHIVA - the best preserved stop on the ancient Silk Road, unique in its beauty. Khiva was the capital of the Khivan Khanate from 1592 until the Bolshevik take-over in 1920. The city was also notable as Cenral Asia's biggest slave trade center. A 8-meter high perimeter fortress walls contain museums, mosques and minarets that comprize the old town.

BUKHARA – in Sanskrit word, Bukhara signifies "monastery". In ancient times this city was a large commercial, cultural and trade center on the Great Silk Road; caravans never missed it - the only oasis around. Bukhara with more than 140 architectural monuments is a "town museum" dating back to the Middle Ages.
