This outstanding cruise has been named the "Golden Ring Cruise". The "Golden Ring Cruise" travels a closed water circle, which starts and ends in Moscow. It will take you to the shores of such age-old Russian towns as Ryazan, Murom, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Kostroma and Uglich. No other Russian cruise offers such a variety of sights. Traveling on this cruise allows visitors to fully explore the relics of Russia’s past as represented by its architecture, religious art, and native arts and crafts dating to the ninth century. The variety of museums to be found in these towns offers a great quantity of treasures of ancient Russian paintings and world art masterpieces to enjoy.

| Day 2 | Breakfast on board City tour with the New Maiden Convent -This city tour of Moscow will take you to the Sparrow Hills to enjoy the beautiful panorama of the downtown area; you will pass by Victory park with its World War II Memorial, the New Maiden Convent, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the White House and ride along Kutuzovsky Avenue. You will also stop at the St. Sofia Embankment of the Moskva River to take pictures of the breathtaking panorama of Moscow’s Kremlin. The culmination of the tour will be a visit to Red Square. A small provincial town with the unusual name of Myshkin (in Russian it means a mouse's town) is situated on the Volga River, 100 km from Yaroslavl. Myshkin is surrounded by a pine forest and is known as a quiet town with neither factories or plants. Myshkin has a population of six thousand residents. | Day 4 | Breakfast on board Arrival to Yaroslavl. Prince Yaroslavl the Wise founded this city in the 11th century. The long and fascinating history of this city is represented by several structures including the Spassky Monastery, dating from the 13th century. Situated in the city's central square is one of the loveliest cathedrals, the Church of Elijah the Prophet. This popular and well-preserved historical monument celebrated its 350th anniversary last year. *Note: Souvenir shoppers should remember that Yaroslavl is well known for its wooden toys, Matrioshka dolls and lacquer boxes. The City Tour will take you through the downtown area of this ancient city. A visit to the Spassky Monastery dating from the 13th century, includes touring one of the loveliest cathedrals in the region. Here you will also visit the workshop “Yaroslavl Icon”, where you can see and buy hand-made sacred images created by skilled artisans. You wil also visit the Church of Elijah the Prophet. | Day 6 | Breakfast on board Lunch on board Arrival to Nizhny Novgorod. Nizhni Novgorod, Russia's third largest city, is an exciting city to live in. Unlike Moscow and St. Petersburg, with their large numbers of Westerners, Nizhni Novgorod offers insights into life in Russia's heartland. In previous centuries, Nizhny Novgorod was the commercial hub of Russia, located at the strategic meeting of the Oka and Volga rivers. | Day 7 | Breakfast on board Arrival to Pavlovo. - The city tour includes visiting the museum of local lore. We will then travel by bus from Pavlovo to Murom. Bus transfer to Murom (with lunch boxes). Murom lies along the Oka River and is one of the oldest Russian towns, first mentioned in the chronicles of 862. Surviving historic buildings include the Trinity and Annunciation monasteries and the churches of the Resurrection and Transfiguration, all from the 17th century. Walking city tour in Murom incl. | Day 9 | Breakfast on board Arrival to Ples Short City tour in Ples. Travel to Vladimir. Vladimir owes its fame to its white-stone architectural monuments dating back to the 12th century. The city is over one thousand years old. It is located on the high western banks of the Klyazma River. Nearly all the city's sights are located within its historical center, which extends west to east along the city's main street, Bolshaya Moskovskaya. You will have a city tour of Vladimir that includes visiting the Cathedral of St. Demetrius (outside view) and the Uspensky Cathedral. City tour incl. visiting of Uspensky Cathedral Travel to Suzdal. This is an ancient, peaceful Russian town, with many old churches, monasteries, and spectacular views of hilly, green countryside.
