HERMITAGE MUSEUM - the Hermitage ranks among the world’s major museums. Its collection consists of nearly 3 million art objects (West European art, the Antique world, Primitive culture, Oriental culture and art, the history of Russian Culture and numismatics). Exhibits are displayed in the Winter Palace, as well as the Small, Old and New Hermitages.

The monastery was founded by Yaroslav the Wise and for centuries played an important role in the life of Novgorod. Yuriev monastery's main building is St. George Cathedral which dates back to 1119.

MUSEUM OF WOODEN ARCHITECTURE - outdoor museum situated south of Novgorod. Typical wooden buildings of the middle centuries are collected here.The churches, houses, warhouses and peasants' huts of artistic and historical value were brought here from all over the area of Novgorod and the new small town was set up.

TORZHOK – this ancient town located on the shore of Tvertsa river is famous for a great number of churches and monasteries. The city tour includes fascinating Borisoglebsky and Voskresensky Monasteries, different cathedrals and churches as well as the visit to the Museum of Gold Sewing.

*TRETYAKOV STATE GALLERY – one of the world’s largest museums, a treasure house of old Russian art from the XXI century till our days. The gallery bears the name of its founder, Pavel Tretyakov, a rich Russian manufacturer and patron of art. Now the Tretyakov Gallery holds more than 50000 works of painting, graphic art and sculpure.

*PUSHKIN FINE ARTS MUSEUM - Moscow's equivalent to St. Petersburg's enormous Hermitage Museum. It houses an extensive collection of ancient art and artifacts from the Ancient times to the New Age, including Egyptian, Assyrian, Ancient Greek and Roman pieces. The museum was established by the father of the famous Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva.

*ARBAT STREET - walking along the most famous pedestrian area in Moscow which deservs the title of Moscow Monmartre. A lot of diffrent cafes, antique shops and stands with traditional Russian gifts and souvenirs are situated here. Numerous artisans and painters display their works just in the street.
